Every great journey starts with a spark. And for me, that spark was visiting picturesque lake country in northern Minnesota.

Five years later, my husband and I executed a longtime dream and moved to the woods of lake country. I love it and have zero regrets.

However, after moving, we struggled to find comprehensive and up-to-date information about the area. So I decided to create a website that would serve as a centralized resource, starting with a nearby town of Breezy Point. I’d like to expand to include additional towns in the near future.

Side projects are a fun and important creative outlet for me. In particular, I enjoy designing and building websites. I also enjoy writing and photography. This project checks all the boxes, making it a perfect hobby project!

This project also gave me an excuse to use some of my favorite tools: WordPress and Kadence Blocks.
